Help Wanted | Part-time Office Admin & Bookkeeper
Location: Carmel, IN (On-site)
Hours: Part-time | 20-25 hours / week | 8am – 1pm daily
Rate: $18 – 20 / hour
We are an online RC Boat e-commerce business started in 1998. We have an extremely loyal client base of repeat customers who order our products from all over the world! Our small team manufactures and assembles most of our produts in house — our working environment is that of a flex / warehouse space so jeans and tennis shoes can be your daily attire. We do very little advertising / marketing, so with the right addition to our team you could help our business significantly grow!
We are seeking a part-time office administrator and bookkeeper.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Customer / order entry (Quickbooks)
- Create and manage customer files
- Update backorder files
- Learn inventory and track purchase orders
- Light order fulfillment / packaging / shipping
- Answer phones, manage mail
- General office support including supply ordering, organization, and light housekeeping
The ideal candidates will be interested in learning about our unique business, have great attention to detail, and be willing to be a key part of a small team where we all wear several hats. Bookkeeping, general business administration experience and a natural propensity to jump in and make things better / do what needs to be done is key! If you have had exposure to e-commerce or order fulfillment / shipping that would be a bonus, but is not required.
We will be moving to a new space around the end of 2026 but will remain on the north side of Indy, most likely in the Carmel, Nora, Keystone / Castleton area. Must be able to reliably and consistently be in the office each day from 8am – 1pm; with some flexibility on whether it is a 4 or 5-day work week.
This is a part-time, long term role. We are a small team and are seeking someone who is comfortable part-time and not just looking for a temporary stop.
